An organization in Atlanta, GA has founded a church called “The National Church of Bey” in which they practice the religion “Beyism” (based on Beyoncé Knowles).
“Queen Bey” now has worshippers in addition to reaching the hearts of millions as a singer. The organizers say they gather every Sunday to sing her songs like reading passages out of a Bible.

Church founder known as “Minister Diva”, Pauline John Andrews, recently stated that she is very disappointed in the failure of the public to recognise the existence of a divine deity walking among them.

“We ask that you consider what is more real: an invisible spirit on high, or a walking, talking, breathing Goddess who shows you her true form daily?” opposingviews.com quoted Andrews as saying.

The church even has a bible published known as the ‘Beyble’ and it will soon be available for free to the public, according to The News Nerd. The service consists of Andrews giving a “sermon” based on a specific Beyoncé lyric or verse, while shouts of “Surfbordt!” take the place of the traditional “Amen.” The church currently caters to all women but men are welcome – provided they symbolically sacrifice their manhood and remove their penises before pledging allegiance to Bey (let’s hope that’s a joke).

The congregation also has hopes to build a temple in honour of the singer and further extend its reach outside the Atlanta. Once the temple is built they plan to invite the former Destiny’s Child star to speak at the church.”
