Last week, Dineo Ranaka was in hospital (read here) and the Daily Sun reported that she was suffering from meningitis, however she has declined to confirm this.
Although she did not want to confirm this, she tweeted the following, before the procedure:
“Tweeting whilst getting a Lumbar Puncture. Strange world I live in. Strange creature God has made me. Oh well,”
and later tweeted...
“Done! The pressure in my head is OFF-BALANCE VOK! Lumbar Punctures are NOT for the weak! shit!,”
Accoridng to Wikipedia:
A lumbar puncture (or LP, and colloquially known as a spinal tap) is a diagnostic and at times therapeutic medical procedure. Diagnostically it is used to collect cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) to confirm or exclude conditions such as meningitis and subarachnoid hemorrhage and it may be used in diagnosis of other conditions. Therapeutically it may be used to reduce increased intracranial pressure.
She also shared a thank you message to her fans on instagram:
"Thanks you all for your well wishes. I have been discharged from hospital, finally resting and recuperating in the conform of home. Thank you and Thank God luv DR"
