BROADCASTING LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES:

eTV, eNCA, YFM and Sasani Studios, in partnership with eAcademy and the MICT SETA will be hosting learning programmes for unemployed South Africans. Choose from either a Television Learnership, TV or Radio Skills Programme or an Internship in various disciplines.

Learnership Programme

Persons from ages 18 to 29 years, who are not currently studying and have no prior qualifications are invited to participate in a Television Production Learnership. This learning program will focus on all aspects of television production.

On successful completion, learners will receive a SAQA NQF level 4 qualification – Further Education and Training Certificate in Television Production Operations.

The Learners will be exposed to theory sessions in a classroom as well as hands-on experience in a simulated and live working environment. The learnership program will run from 1 August 2014 to 29 May 2015 and learners will be paid a minimal stipend to assist with transport costs.

Internship Programme

The Intern programme will run for 1 year from 1 August 2014 to 31 July 2015. Each intern will be paid a minimal monthly stipend which is intended to cover transport costs.

Internship applicants must be studying in any of the fields listed below and is in need of workplace experience in order to complete their studies and ultimately graduate.

Audio Visual Communication
Video Technology
Communication & Public Relations
Television Production
Production Accounting
And related fields

Requirements:

Applicants that wish to apply for any of the above must be a South African citizen, over the age of 18 years and have a valid South African ID document.

Who should apply?

Unemployed South Africans with a strong interest in television production who has not been previously employed under any internship or learnership programme in the MEDIA field.
